15 Gradma’s Recipes To Get Rid Of Cellulite

As summer approaches, many women want to get rid of their cellulite to enjoy the beaches without fear of the unsightly effect of orange peel skin. No need, however, to invest in creams and overpriced miracle solutions. To fight against cellulite, the recipes of grandmothers have largely proven themselves.

1. Make Coffee Lotion

Coffee is a prime ingredient in the development of commercial anti-cellulite creams, and for good reason: caffeine is a molecule that reduces the proliferation of fat cells and helps the body reduce the storage of fat . And instead of buying one, it’s easy to make it yourself! For this you need:

  • 50 cl of very strong coffee  ;
  • Lemon juice (preferably organic).

Prepare the coffee and bottle it. Add the lemon juice to it, mix well, close and let the lotion sit for 24 hours. Then massage the parts of the body concerned with the mixture. This will keep refrigerated for a week.

2. Mix Oil And Lemon

Massages have also proven themselves in the treatment of cellulite .

  • 5 tablespoons of olive oil (or another vegetable oil);
  • Lemon juice (preferably organic).

After the shower, on dry skin, massage the grainy areas until complete absorption of the oil.

3. Take A Herbal Bath

  • 1 handful of horse chestnut bark  ;
  • 1 handful of kelp  ;
  • 1 handful of meadowsweet  ;
  • 1 handful of ground ivy.

In 1/2 liter of boiling water, infuse the mixture of plants for 15 minutes with a lid. All you have to do is filter, pour this infusion into the bath water, and enjoy its benefits!

4. Massage Yourself With Essential Oils

To treat cellulite in depth and get rid of it, apply this formidable grandmother’s recipe.

In a clean and sterilized 100 ml bottle, put:

  • 94 ml of argan oil
  • 3 ml of lemon essential oil
  • 2 ml of juniper essential oil
  • 1 ml of Italian helichrysum essential oil

Before taking your shower, apply the mixture to the targeted areas. Once in the shower, continue massaging. Use the palpate-roll technique by going from bottom to top, while pinching the skin and bringing it up. This method can sometimes be a little unpleasant, but it is effective! The heat released by the water and the massage stimulates the epidermis and maximizes the anti-cellulite effect of this technique, which will deeply penetrate the tissues.

Be careful though, if you have problems related to blood circulation or if you have skin that marks easily, it is better to opt for a more traditional massage to erase cellulite by means of friction.

We remind you of the importance of reading and following the advice for using essential oils.

5. Drink Lemon Water

  • Squeeze the juice of a lemon  ;
  • Add it to a large glass of water (preferably lukewarm);
  • Drink this mixture on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up;
  • Do not eat anything else for at least 30 min.

6. Consume Flaxseed Tea

Linen is a bit of a panacea for well-being and health. It is still necessary to know how to consume its seeds, rich in nutrients, fatty acids and vitamins.

  • 1 liter of very hot water  ;
  • 3 tablespoons of flax seeds .

Boil a liter of water. Put 3 tablespoons of flax seeds in a saucepan, and the water on top once it is boiling. Cover, and let the mixture rest overnight. The next morning, strain the flax seeds with a strainer. You will get a viscous and relatively thick liquid, which is normal. Drink this hot tea 3-4 times a day, half an hour before eating.

7. Make An Ivy Polutice

Ivy is also a great ally for effectively reducing cellulite marks.

  • 200 g climbing ivy  ;
  • 1 liter of water  ;
  • Green clay .

Covered, boil 1 liter of clear water and 200 g of climbing ivy for 10 minutes. Filter and let the infusion cool. Add green clay and mix. Do not use metal materials, as this dulls the properties of the clay. In order to obtain a consistent paste, add water if necessary.

Apply the paste to the areas to be treated, let it dry completely and rinse off in the shower. This poultice can be kept for a maximum of one week in a cool place. Ground ivy is toxic when ingested, so be sure to use it only externally.

8. Do An Anti-Cellulite Scrub

This simple grandmother’s recipe will work wonders on orange peel skin without costing you a fortune!

  • ½ cup unrefined powdered sugar
  • 2 cups of dried coffee grounds
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil.

Mix all the ingredients. You should get a grainy paste to apply directly to damp skin. Make small circular movements all over the body, emphasizing the areas marked by cellulite . Then rinse off in the shower. You can repeat this treatment twice a week to start. In addition to erasing unsightly marks, your skin will be embellished, because it is deeply nourished!

If we like to use it on the eye contours for its smoothing and radiance-enhancing effect, the same goes for areas affected by cellulite. Thanks to its astringent properties , rubbing cucumber slices on affected body parts helps tighten skin pores and reduce the dimpled appearance.

10. Use Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is known for its many virtues and health benefits. But do you know that it also helps fight cellulite? To use it, nothing could be simpler: mix 3 tablespoons of cider vinegar with 2 tablespoons of olive oil . Apply this mixture to the areas to be treated by massaging your skin in a circular motion.

11. Apply Rhassoul

To put an end to your orange peel skin before sunny days, trust the rhassou l. Less known than green clay, this powder is nonetheless effective in eliminating traces of cellulite.

  • 1 cup of powdered rhassoul (or ghassoul);
  • Warm water  ;
  • 3 or 4 (no more!) drops of rosemary or grapefruit essential oil .

Mix the clay and clear water until you obtain a homogeneous and fairly thick paste. Be careful not to use metal materials, because just like with green clay, metal breaks the properties of the rhassoul. Apply the resulting mixture to the areas of the body to be treated. Leave to dry for 15 minutes and rinse off in the shower.

12. Wrap Yourself In Coffee Grounds

No need to spend a fortune on enveloping care in an institute. With a minimum of budget and equipment, you can do the same at home, for such a satisfying result! For this you will need:

  • 1/4 cup of dried coffee grounds
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Newsprint
  • Cellophane paper

In a bowl, mix the olive oil and coffee grounds to form a smooth paste. Lay the newspaper around you, and sit on it. Apply the preparation to the desired areas. Wrap them in cellophane paper. While many decongestant and detoxifying drinks are available on the market, very few supplant green tea when it comes to helping the body drain and evacuate toxins . The catechins and caffeine in green tea stimulate the liver and help break down stored fats inside the body. This grandmother’s trick alone is not enough to avoid cellulite, but integrating it into your routine will give you extra help.

In a bowl, pour boiling water and add a tablespoon of dried green tea leaves. Cover and let infuse for 3 minutes. For effective action, it is recommended to drink three cups a day.
